Imposing and evocative, the Castellaccio of Rocca San Casciano dominates the town, an ancient fortress of the Counts Guidi that gave the town its name. This iconic element of the landscape accompanies us through the changing seasons, now half-hidden by lush vegetation in summer, now illuminated at night, creating a magical atmosphere.

Our lands extend to brush against the walls of the Castellaccio, a deep connection with the history and identity of the place. Despite its current state of abandonment, the Castellaccio retains a timeless charm, a witness to a past rich in events.

Over the years, various municipal administrations and volunteer groups have attempted to recover this precious heritage. However, the Castellaccio requires a significant restoration intervention, an ambitious project that currently remains a challenge.

The Castellaccio is more than just a ruin: it is a symbol of the history of Rocca San Casciano, a fundamental element of our landscape and a reminder of the importance of preserving our cultural heritage.
